Consumers are gearing up for the release of the 2020 Honda CR-V, which is slated for a March release. Several automotive sites have already reviewed the crossover and gave promising evaluations. The hybrid model marks the first-ever for a Honda SUV.

So, what do we know so far about the new model? The exterior design has been left pretty much intact, though there are some notable changes. For one, it will have a darker chrome and light lenses. The fog lights also now integrate more seamlessly with the front bumpers. The grille will also have an exclusive Honda shield and a hybrid badging.

Even more noteworthy is the inclusion of the Honda Sensing® safety technology suite, which now comes standard for the compact SUV. With it comes lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and collision mitigation braking.

The hybrid model will improve gas mileage by 50%. It’s also not a surprise that the automaker selected the SUV for hybridization. The Honda SUV, after all, was the country’s best-selling crossover vehicle for two-years straight.
