Introducing the 2019 Honda Passport

Whether you plan to drive your car around the Owings Mills and Westminster, MD area or are traveling further, you’ll soon have a fantastic new option for all your driving needs. Making its debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, the all-new 2019 Honda Passport provides a unique experience for the adventurous driver, whether on or off the road.

The latest Honda SUV is a bold and rugged vehicle that slots between the 2019 Honda CR-V and Honda Pilot. While it takes some design cues from the popular Honda Pilot, it’s a shorter, five-passenger SUV that’s built on the same platform underpinning the Honda Ridgeline.

While the all-new Honda Passport is on the rugged side and promises an engaging off-road experience, it’s also built to deliver exceptional on-road expertise as well. While its high ground clearance, short rear overhang, and scratch resistant cladding make it the perfect off-road companion, Honda general manager Henio Arcangeli Jr. promises that the 2019 Honda Passport is an excellent daily commuter as well.

"The all-new 2019 Honda Passport provides the on-road comfort and nimble handling buyers will appreciate on their daily commute with the robust off-road and all-weather capability that make for a great weekend adventure vehicle," said Arcangeli Jr., according to thedrive.com

Under the hood, the Honda Passport features a 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain combines with the automaker’s nine-speed automatic transmission with either front or all-wheel-drive. The all-wheel-drive models are capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds while the front-wheel drive models can tow up to 3,5000 pounds.

We expect to see the 2019 Honda Passport at our Westminster Honda dealership early next year. We’ll keep you updated on the new Honda SUV as we learn more. For now, visit our Westminster Honda service center for your current model needs.
